The MIT Library ‐ the treasure house of books and periodicals ‐ is a centre of intellectual activity of any institution. The MIT, which is imparting advanced level courses and undertaking research programmes in vital technical areas. The MIT library, strives to its readers on the interest of creativity and innovation, the predecessors of Research and Development. The library started along with the institution in the year 1949. It has a well-equipped library stacking nearly 94,028 volumes of choice books in various engineering subjects and basic sciences. The library subscribes to 140 periodicals. Besides, the library has 12,700 bound volumes of periodicals and more than 10,000 Standards.
